Hi, We’re The Recessions, a two-man group consisting of Audric “X” Schieve (Percussion) and Nate “Big Business” Sperloen (Bass, Synths, Vocals). Sometimes we have other drifters helping out, whatever's blowing through Madison at a given time.

We’re called The Recessions because, well, our group along with the rest of the country is IN a recession. It’s too damned expensive to fill up the 1984 VW Van and tour, especially since ours runs on gas. We’re too poor for a diesel and a veggie-oil conversion.

This is why we’re Internet only. We need to keep the costs down, pay the heating bill. Maybe gig in the summer, if we can get a ride from grandma. We release our music royalty free, under the Creative Commons license, meaning anyone or any company* can use it, for free, if you give us credit. We do accept donations, and to pay the studio bill, if you use our music, we’d really appreciate a few bucks.

So enjoy the tracks, hopefully you’ll find a good YouTube video to use them on, or maybe add a little spice to your next corporate presentation. Hell, a Porsche ad would be sweet. Sorry, no Pontiacs. They suck.
